It's Official! Bowery Poetry Club gig confirmed with Haale, Fion O'Lochlainn, Heather Christian and DJ King
This is a 100% worthy concert: Saturday March 14th, 10pm
Haale's band has played 150 shows in America, Europe, and Canada. Highlights include the Bonnaroo festival (07), the David Byrne curated series at Carnegie Hall, the Hillside Festival, Celebrate Brooklyn, SXSW, Mimi Festival in France, and the Firstworks Festival. The Boston Globe called the album, 'one of the year's most memorable releases.'
Fionn O'Lochlainn is a British artist who moved to NY to continue creating and performing his music. Among other press, Fionn received the following review from Time Out NY Magazine:
"We've heard few recent debuts as bold and provocative as Fionn Ó Lochlainn's Spawn of the Beast. Not only does he demonstrate a knack for observant songwriting, but he's an impressive guitarist and musters a vocal range that stretches from dry witticisms to power-crooning worthy of Jeff Buckley."
NY Times review on Heather Christian: "In one of her original pieces, “I’ll Fall Away,” she sings, “You can take it or leave it.” The feel of that song might be longing, but Ms. Christian’s delivery has the well-earned confidence of a woman who expects her audience to take it."
Besides, Pasita Wine Bar is sponsoring a wine tasting, so you get to hear great music accompanied with great wine!
